The 690 Competition is the latest stunning addition to the Beretta competition range. Like the 692 series it is based on the 690 action but with very different looks. The action and barrel are finished in a matt black treatment, contrasted with a polished, mirror finish, hinge pin and trigger. The branding and action decoration are in a distinctive blaze orange that really stands out against the dark tones of the action. The top lever is also over moulded with a soft touch, but easy to grip, rubberised coating.
As with all Beretta competition guns this new model is designed to break clays. The Optima choke HP Steelium barrels throw superb patters with reduced recoil. The barrels have a bore size of 18.6 and are mounted with a tapered 10X8mm ventilated top rib. The gun is ready to accept B-fast balance weights although none are supplied with the gun in order to keep the price down. The stock is 2.5 grade walnut and is fitted with a micro core pad as standard. A B-Fast adjustable comb version will also be available
